We're Furk'd

Seems it hasn't snowed this much continually in Switzerland since 1974. Train and road to the valley below and the pass above Andermatt were closed fro two days due to avalanche risk. Although closure was billed as "indefinite", eventually Saturday late morning the routes were reopened. The entire morning the valley was thundering with dynamite and avalanches, and the trains started up again in the pm, which was enough time for one final, epic morning on the slopes. Three days of snow, resort inaccessible to outsiders, and finally clear weather...

Made for empty slopes, extensive untouched stretches of snow, and some eerie, magical landscapes...
